Collection: Fall 2018

Production: Shandong, China

This drinking goblet design was heavily influenced by the King’s Crown glass pattern that was manufactured from the late 1800's until the mid 1980’s. To best honor the original pattern, the new form would need to be authentic in its reflection of the past.

Working closely with my senior design team and our partner I was able to arrive at a design that offered a modern take on a classic form. The visual aesthetic closely relates to that of the original while the weight of the goblet in the hand assures a solid piece that is destined to be in service for another 100 years.

Two sizes were initially produced with an in-mold Noble Blue color then updated to clear glass for our Holiday 2018 collection. At that time the series was expanded to include a tall goblet and dessert glass.
